Digital Twin

Advanced modeling techniques to create a dynamic virtual model with AI. This includes, real time tracking and predicting their next movement and geolocation (using behavior information such as how they act when they feel safe, angry, protective, etc.) which make our solution usable offline. Ex: fear of bees, protection of crops and inhabitants. By creating a digital version of the reserve, we will use the data from tagged animals to learn their behavior and AI will learn to predict their movements. Any suspect behavior will be flagged and anti-poaching unit will intervene in all cases

What is Digital Twin?

Digital twin technology is used to create the digital equivalent of a real-life object in which it mirrors its behavior such as movement of animals, humans and vehicles, water levels and quality, asset tracking and all other activities. These digital twins are used to simulate the behavior of these systems in different scenarios. The union of data, modelling and what-if simulation can provide an approach to overcome current limitations in decision-making support and automation, across a diverse range of agricultural enterprises.

Animal Behavior

Animal behavior includes the way animals interact and react to other animals and human presence. By monitoring the behavior of different species of animals on the farm or reserve over a period of time the reaction to changes in the environment, danger or human presence will create an alarm.    

Tagging Animals and Assets

LORA (Long Range) and GS-SAT (GlobalStar Satellite) tags are small electronic RF ID (Radio Frequency Identity) devices providing the tracking and telemetry data that is transmitted using LoRaWAN or Satellites as communication mediums. The collar is small precision designed and does not affect the animal’s movement.  

Kinetic Charger

Kinetic battery charger is unique, it contains an internal electrical generator operated by the kinetic movement of the animal. The generated electricity is stored in a rechargeable battery that requires replacement less frequently than conventional cell batteries. With the kinetic charger the lifespan of the electronic transmitter can exceed 10 years.

LoRaWAN is a low-power, wide area networking protocol built on top of the LoRa radio modulation technique. It wirelessly connects devices to the internet and manages communication between end-node devices and network gateways. Usage of LoRaWAN in industrial spaces and agricultural environments is growing because it is an affordable long-range, bi-directional communication protocol with very low power consumption — devices can run for ten years on a small battery. It uses the unlicensed ISM (Industrial, Scientific, Medical) radio bands for network deployments. It can track multiple devices (3000/gateway) within 30 Km radius with no data cost.

Albanu Foundation

Born from the spirit of commitment of Margaux Claret activists and her collaborators, The Albanu Foundation does not accept the sad reality of an impoverished ecosystem. Touched by the alarming disappearance of African elephants, the founders federated by Margaux expressed in 2019 their wish to see these pachyderms flourish again and finally give birth to the organization in 2020.

From awareness-raising to the rescue of species, which it has set itself the task of protecting, The Albanu Foundation raises awareness and deploys the necessary means to face the threats still present. Lack of water, shortage of habitats, poaching: the list is long but the Foundation’s determination is even more so, as evidenced by the innovation of the approach adopted to ensure the follow-up of its dear elephants and other endangered species.

Miniature GPS tags on animals, drones in charge of alerts, communication via secure network: the organization has made the decision to associate with professionals such as Microsoft, InnoDeep, Silotron, NGS Drones, SSI/Inmarsat to make the most of the funds raised to carry out its mission.
